Pricing and call-out questions
Do you really charge nothing to come out?
That is right, the call out is $0, so an on-site look and a written quote never cost you anything. Money only changes hands once you have approved the job in writing.
Will I know the price before work starts?
Yes, your plumber inspects the fault, then hands you one fixed written price covering the whole fix. The price we quote is the price you pay, with nothing added once the tools are away.
Do nights and weekends cost more?
No, there are no overtime rates here, so a fault found at midnight or on a public holiday is priced the same way it would be at midday. The hour never changes the price.
How do I pay once the job is done?
We take card and cash, and payment plans are available for the larger jobs. You settle up only after the work is complete and you are happy it is right.

Booking and response questions
Can I reach a plumber after hours?
Yes, a real person answers day and night, every weekend and right across the public holidays. An after-hours burst, blocked main or gas scare never has to sit until morning.
How quickly can someone get to me?
Because the crews work these streets constantly, a van is often already close by, so same-day bookings are the norm and genuine emergencies jump ahead. You get a clear time slot the moment you phone.
What should I have ready when I call?
It helps to know the source of the water or gas, whether the stop tap is off, and roughly how old the home is, though none of that is vital, so ring first and gather the rest afterwards.

Local plumbing questions
Why does my water run rusty and slow?
In many pre-1940 cottages the original galvanised steel supply corrodes internally and narrows, which chokes the pressure and rust-stains the water until a pressure test and a pipe assessment settle it.
Why do the drains here keep blocking?
Under the older homes the clay and earthenware sewers lose their seal as the reactive ground moves, and street-tree roots work into the gaps, so we run a camera to locate the break, then clear or reline that section.
My hot water died on a cold morning, why?
The many long-held brick homes here run storage tanks well past their prime, and a winter cold snap loads a tired unit just as its heat loss peaks. That is when the oldest cylinders quit.
Is my home at risk of flooding?
Sitting up around sixty-two metres, most of the suburb drains freely and rarely floods. The one soft spot is the low ground on the western side by Bardwell Creek, where a big downpour can back up older connections.
Do older cottages need special care?
They do, because Federation and interwar homes hide galvanised supply, clay drains and dated gas fittings behind their wrought-iron verandahs. We work them patiently rather than forcing modern methods onto century-old pipe.

Warranty and licensing questions
Are your plumbers actually licensed?
Yes, everyone on the team holds licence #275278C with full insurance, and any compliance certificate your job needs is handed over alongside the invoice as a matter of course.
What does the warranty actually cover?
Our workmanship is guaranteed for life under the Lifetime Labour Warranty. If it's not right, we come back and set it straight at no cost to you.
What if I decide against the quote?
Then you owe us nothing and we leave it there. The $0 call out means a quote you turn down has cost you only the time it took us to look.

Emergency questions
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Water you cannot stop, a drain surging back into the house, no hot water in a cold snap, or any smell of gas all count. If it threatens the home or your health, treat it as urgent.
What do I do while I wait for the plumber?
Close the mains stop tap out by the water meter, and if you smell gas, leave the property and call from outside. Stay away from switches and flames until a plumber gives the all-clear.
Still have a question?
Call (02) 9072 0502 and a licensed plumber will talk it through with you, day or night, with a $0 call out and a fixed price before any work begins.
